About Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk

The Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk supports the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

For 80 years, Winship has worked tirelessly to prevent, treat and cure cancer with a culture that integrates discovery, innovation and caring.

In 2016, the event raised more than $932,000 with over 3,200 participants. To date, the event has raised more than $3.2 million in support of cancer research at Winship Cancer Institute.

On the day of the event, runners and walkers tackle the Peachtree Road Race qualifying course that starts and ends on the Emory campus and winds its way through the surrounding Druid Hills area. Teams are encouraged to organize and to participate in the event.

Now in its seventh year, the 2017 Winship 5K will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
